Thread of Life is a visual exploration into the relationships we form both online and in the real world and how they intersect with each other, whether that be links between seemingly disparate friends or family through Facebook, or the shrinking time period between befriending someone tangibly and virtually.

My research partner Lydia Boyle and myself collected data from fifty of our closest facebook friends and analyzed the number of real world interactions we made with them in a month, and how many mutual friends they had with each other. Below are the results displayed visually.
